Our Guarantee

On this _________ day of __________ 2008 for the sum of $_________, Spencer's German Shepherds hereby warranties this German Shepherd, identified by-Chip Number: __________ and registered name of: ____________.

Spencer's German Shepherds warranties for one year from the date of birth, against the German Shepherd's death due directly to a veterinarian's diagnosis of a congenital death. After a German Shepherd leaves our facility, of course, Spencer's German Shepherds can no longer be responsible for any kind of accidental death or from any contagious disease or other reason not caused by, or which is outside of the immediate and direct control of Spencer's German Shepherds. Spencer's German Shepherds is not responsible for how you raise and train your dog once it leaves our kennel. You as the new owner take all responsibility and liability of the dog when it leaves our kennel, for the remaining of the dog's life.

Limited AKC registration is issued and will be removed upon request and once the hips pass OFA or A-STAMP Certification. Or otherwise decided by breeder and new owner.

Our hip guarantee is 1/2 cost of the original pup. Replacement pup when avaliable. Shipping will be at your cost.

The hips are warranted to OFA or A-STAMP at 2 years of age. This Warranty expires when the pup is 28 months old. This means that you have a 4 month window to have your pup X-rayed and certified by the OFA or A-STAMPED. If the OFA or A-STAMP recommends an additional X-ray in 6 months to issue a certification, the owner will be responsible of the cost for an X-ray when the dog is 30 months.

Hip Dysplasia have 4 major causes:

It is felt that genetic play between a 25% and 30% role in a dog having hip dysplasia. This means that the new pet owners can assume a great deal of responsibility (70% to 75%) in their dog developing good hips!

This begins with feeding an all-natural diet, or a dog food that is made up of all human-grade ingredients. It also means that you should keep your dog fit and trim. Carrying to much at a young age is going to add stress on soft puppy bones. New owners need to be very careful of over exercising a pup. This means no jogging until after the dog is 12 months old. This means not exercising to the point of exhaustion, or taking the pup for long walks. Around the block is fine, a 2 mile walk is not fine. Playing or rough housing with larger dogs should not be allowed, while they are still small. Please supervise your pup. Their trust is in you.

If the dog is bred before two years of age this warranty is void. This does not mean you cannot breed before 2 years. It just means you need to X-ray and be sure of the hips before you breed. We will not replace a dog for bad hips, if it has been bred.

Should this German Shepherd come under any of the above expressed warranty conditions, a puppy from a subsequent litter of Spencer's German Shepherds choice and of 1/2 equal or greater value will be available to the client as soon as possible. The client will provide all registration papers with transfer of ownership back to Spencer's German Shepherds, if we so decide, prior to receiving the replacement pup. You will keep and be responsible for the original dog.

There are no other warranties expressed or implied other than those expressly stated here. All sales are final and complete with the free and clear transfer of ownership from Spencer's German Shepherds, 1322 Harrison Road, New Paris, OH 45347, to the new owner. There are no expressed or implied co-ownership agreements in effect. This warranty is not transferable, it is null and void should the puppy buyer choose to spay or neuter without a veterinarian's written proof and reciept mailed to Spencer's German Shepherds or otherwise agreed upon between breeder and new owner.

There are no exceptions to any part of the guarantee. There are no refunds.
